April grew up with adversity, taken from her parents at a young age, raised by grandparents, then expelled from school over a miscommunication she nevertheless was herself the last person she expected to become a teacher. Soon, however, she found her passion for teaching and has been doing it ever since. Now, she is the teacher students trust. She is the teacher leading her school and her community.
