Wisconsin

Welcome to the Wisconsin State Video page.

Watch these videos and be inspired by ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

We start Wisconsin with an interview of Don Rubin and Barbara Winer of Operation Welcome Homes. Like many in the Vietnam War era, Don and Barbara blamed the returning soldiers for the war. As time has passed and their knowledge increased they realized that the soldiers fighting the war were not who they were displeased with. As they watched men and women of todays military coming home they realized that these heros of today had similar problems awaiting them in terms of illness, displacement, unfamiliarity with family etc..... and so they decided to do something about it and help this time around. Operation Welcome Homes gives returning military members and their families a brief rest from the woes and daily tribulations they must face. Perhaps just a weekend or a quick week, these families are given a place to stay, with as many donated meals and coupons as the Operation can muster to give the families as close to a free vacation as possible. Listen to these two people and be inspired by their can do attitude. See what ideas you have for your own community or perhaps decide to expand the Operation Welcome Homes into your state and your community and help move America and the brave men and women of its military, forward.

In Chippewa Falls, we find David Fish, President/CEO of St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Watch this timely interview of this dynamic and humorous President/CEO of a Rural Hospital dealing with the challenges facing every American today.... Healthcare. Part of a Multi-Hospital System, listen as Mr. Fish explains the challenges faced by the hospital industry as a whole and how by being a rural hospital yet part of a Multi-Hospital system St. Joseph's continues to provide top quality care despite its rural population. Be inspired by business ingenuity and think about how your company, your business, your community can find ways to move itself, your state and the country forward.

We wind up Wisconsin with Stacey Kannenberg, CEO/Founder of Cedar Valley Publishing. Inspiration can often strike from out of nowhere. As a frustrated Mom who couldn't find the right books for her children as they began preschool and kindergarden it was a series of Oprah shows that helped her turn her passion into a dream and then into a company that writes books that parents and teachers agree are needed. Watch this amazing story of an even more amazing woman who took her passion and ran with it. Be inspired by this incredible story and catch yourself being happy... maybe, just maybe, you too will find your passion and start moving your community, your state, and this great country forward.

Below is a form for you to tell us what we might have missed while we were in Wisconsin.
