And so it begins. For 8 months we spoke about meeting incredible people beginning in Delaware.
It all started with Bobby D. As you watch video throughout the site you will notice people of different ages, races and cultures. But at the end of the day, we are all people solving problems and building community at home.
In Delaware you will watch Boddy D, founder of the Delaware Sports League who creates community with adults brought together to play childhood sports.
Then meet Chris Grundner, founder of the KellyHeinz-Grundner Brain Tumor foundation after losing his wife and best friend.
Meet Drewry Nash Fennell, a passionate advocate for the righs of all people, and Karen Venezky, a former elected official and active volunteer. For Karen there is no other way than to work on community.
We also interviewed Sam Beard, founder with Caroline Kennedy, of the Jefferson Awards for Public Service.
And Joe McDonough, who founded the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation when his son died after a 167 day battle with Cancer.
We also have Deborah Gottschalk, a community legal aide lawyer, who became a lawyer to take this role of aiding those who could not pay for legal services.
Finally, Big Emma Fulton, a biker who started her own bike club in the 70's and a two time cancer survivor who travels around Delaware to teach people about early detection and the services available in her state.
